Hotter Shoes & Taking Shape Blogger Evening

Hiya Lovelies!

Hope you're all fine and dandy!

Last Wednesday I attended an amazing Blogger evening in Kingston with Hotter and Taking Shape. I reviewed a Dress from Taking Shape not so long ago but I have never been to an actual store. Being a massive Fashion lover, I was very excited to visit.

So the evening began at Taking Shape (Sizes 14-26) who are all about layering. With their bold prints and colours they have certainly brought an aussie attitude to the UK. As I arrived I was greeted by a lovely team. A stylist then picked out some outfits for me to try on after discussing what kind of styles I like. So off I popped into the dressing room with an array of clothes.

Taking Shape really does have something for all ages which is great. With three Brands to choose from (TS, Eplissé & Virtuelle) you're sure to find the perfect outfit to show off your curves. I really wanted a nice summery outfit that could be dressed up or down.

I went for the Bloom Tunic which I'm obsessed with, the colour is amazing and the flower print is so pretty (Size down), The Love Story Leggings which have ties at the bottom, so cute! (True to size) and The Decorous Short Sleeve Body Tee (True to size). Add a pair of Heels for a night out or some Sandals for a day at the Beach. You can wear the Tunic with or without the Body Tee, let your imagination flow with Fashion creativity!

The store was light, airy and very modern. They also had a very stylish staircase that lead upstairs to even more clothes. I enjoyed a glass of Prosecco and got chatting to some other lovely Bloggers.

I was then showed over to the Hotter Store which offers comfy yet stylish shoes for women and men. They have one of the most advanced shoe making facilities in the world which is located in Lancashire. The store was very roomy and had a charming vintage living room style area, perfect for shopping and relaxing. Now when it comes to Footwear I'm usually a nine triple E but I was actually shocked to find out that I was a nine double E in Hotter. Amazing right!?

I was immediately attracted to the Donna Heels (Available in a range of colours) which are to die for, super soft and super fashionable, I totally fell in love! I chose the colour Dark Aqua as it really makes an outfit stand out. Every shoe has cushion comfort built in and that's what makes their shoes so comfortable. I couldn't make up my mind on which colour to go for so I tried one of each to compare them. Don't you think they look like something Dorothy would wear? I just wanted to click my Heels!

Did you know Hotter also has a selection of gorgeous Bags? I went for The Portia Bag (Available in a range of colours) as it instantly caught my eye. I opted for the Black as it's so versatile, you can use it as a clutch or shoulder bag, the choice is yours! We then all did a little piece to camera discussing our chosen items which was fun. I highly recommend you pop in and have a look in both stores.

  13. Is there a Kingston in the UK?? I think Canada stole a lot of city names from you folks haha. We have London, Cambridge - and now Kingston. All in Ontario, Canada. Totally off topic from what your blog post was about, but I thought I had to let you know :)

The store looks really beautiful inside. I love the seating arrangements for trying stuff on! I'm glad you got at least one of those shoes - black is so versatile...but I do love those grey suede-y looking ones.
